Ondalán

This establishment is the result of a long-standing family tradition, connected to the wines and vineyards of Rioja Alavesa since 1889.

In 1976, Julio Martínez-Bujanda founded the winery with the aim of producing unique wines from the fruit of his own vineyards, reflecting their authentic and singular character. Over the years, his sons Fernando and Enrique, dedicating themselves wholeheartedly to the cultivation of vines, have sustained the Bodegas Ondalán project as a living testimony to the essence of the ‘terroir’ they received from their parents.

They have retained the original name, whose meaning reflects their values and understanding of a job well done: the Ondalán brand is "the winery that seeks to make the perfect wine (onda) through work (lan), the circular, complete wine, the round wine".

Today, Enrique Martínez-Bujanda, with his sensitivity and dedication to caring for his 55 hectares of vineyards, works passionately, embodying the essence of the “vigneron” pioneered by our grandparents, a winegrowing tradition that respects our natural environment. We tend to each vine and cluster using traditional tillage methods while following organic and sustainable guidelines for their care.

The sensitivity of Bodegas Ondalán resides in the wines, which remain vibrant until they merge with the loyalty and commitment of our friends-customers, enabling each wine to convey its emotion: the freshness of the White, the joviality of the Young, the serenity of the Cellar Matured, the fidelity of the Crianza, the singularity of the Reserva, the elegance of the Selección 100% Tempranillo, and the exquisiteness of the 100 Abades Selección 100% Graciano.

In addition to a clear didactic vocation demonstrated by creating the "Winegrowing Thematic Classroom", which features a collection of grape varieties and cultural visits...
