Entering through the south gate, in the walled enclosure, you reach the church of San Miguel, whose Gothic walls are part of the defensive enclosure. It is interesting to approach the 14th-century Moro Fountain. It has a spout decorated with a Gothic face that gives it its name. This fountain, excavated on the southern slope of the wall, had a secret passage from which it was possible to access the interior of the town. It was an ingenious way to obtain water during the siege.
Around it, you can visit the Pinar de Dueñas, the westernmost pine forest of Carrasco in Europe.
Recently, the International Circle of Walled Cities awarded Labraza the prize for the Best Walled City in the world. This prize is awarded every three years to innovative projects in the management, conservation, and restoration of this type of historical fortifications.
