One of the iconic images of Elciego is the imposing Church of San Andrés (16th century), with its uneven towers and unexpected interior contrasting sharply with the avant-garde architecture of the Hotel Marqués de Riscal designed by the renowned architect Frank O. Gehry.
This is the gateway to the historic quarter where you can wander through its intricate streets, discover small quaint spots, or visit the welcoming Plaza Mayor (Main Square), where you will find the Town Hall, the Virgen de la Plaza Hermitage, and several houses with their coats of arms and carved eaves.
You can also visit one of the most extraordinary jazz venues on the peninsula, the Espacio Cifujazz. To learn more about Elciego, we suggest a guided tour of the town organised by the Tourism Office and a visit to one of the wineries to discover the world of wine.
For nature and landscape enthusiasts, try the "Mahasti Artean - Entre Viñas" walk that features the scenic viewpoints of San Vicente and San Roque.
