In our winery, innovation and tradition come together. We use to make an average of 150,000 litres of wine per year, although we have capacity for more. We have underground concrete tanks with a capacity of 85,000 litres of wine for our wines to rest in, preserving and enhancing all the good qualities obtained in the vineyard, and we age these wines in barrels of different capacities.
In the vineyards, 26 hectares, distributed in 70 small vineyards, supply the winery.
Some of the vines are more than a century old, with an media of 50 years, and are located in the heart of Rioja Alavesa.
Our plots are not artificially irrigated. Only the rain provides the water to our vineyards, thus avoiding that an excess of irrigation provides larger grains, but less concentrated and, the contact with treated water that carries undesirable contributions. We also use exclusively organic compost.
Our work in the vineyards is manual and the grapes that arrive at the winery come from land that we work, thus, we really know the health and quality of our fruit.
We strictly control the development of the vineyard to obtain the maximum aromatic potential, structure and concentration in our wines. In this way, we manage to produce wines with structure, but easy to drink, wines to enjoy.
