AMAREN (Basque for “of the mother”) is the tribute that Juan Luis Cañas made to his mother Ángeles, a woman who dedicated her life to tending the vineyards and making together with her husband Luis Cañas.

Jon Cañas, the heir to a long family lineage dedicated to vineyards and wine, leads the technical side of the winery, embodying in his wines his youthful, perfectionist, non-conformist and transgressive personality.
