Muro

“Bodegas Muro” is a traditional family-owned winery. This winery was created due to the interest in the improvement of the owner, who has inherited the cultivation of the vine and the way of making wine from his ancestors. It is the fourth generation making wine. It was founded in 1972 by Miguel Ángel and Juliana, the new winery was built in 1985 and expanded in 2008. It is located in Lapuebla de Labarca.

Bodegas Muro is a family winery that produces white, red, oaked and unoaked wines biodynamically. We own vineyards in Lapuebla and Laguardia. All the grapes we vinify Tempranillo, Graciano, Red Maturana, Garnacha, Viura, Maturana Blanca and White Garnacha are produced on by own vineyards. We produce young wines in the purest style of our ancestors, Reservas, high expression & single varietals, mixing the most modern techniques with the traditional knowledge of aging in French and American oak barrels, to express our soils and our region. “Sun and Earth Craftsmen of the Wine”

Our philosophy is to express with our wines the greatest number of characteristics of the area and the soil. Our wines are made with our hands from pruning to harvesting and winemaking. Our grapes come from sustainable viticulture. We believe in working with the earth with respect for nature and the environment. Thus:

- No herbicides are used against weeds and we substitute it for more tillage in the vineyard during the spring to eliminate them or they are cut in summer.

- We exclusively apply organic fertilizer from composting.

- In this campaign we have started to create our own foliar fertilizers

- We apply fungicidal treatments with natural products made by us, such as horsetail infusion, nettles ...
