Located at the foot of Laguardia Hill, a medieval village in the heart of Rioja Alavesa and within the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin, this winery features industrial architecture typical of the 1970s, with spectacular spaces that have been transformed into a unique cultural venue dedicated to wine tourism.
The exterior of the cellars has been restored thanks to a project in collaboration with the UNESCO Chair in Cultural Landscapes and Heritage. Unique, versatile spaces designed by prestigious interior design studios and architects, equipped with the necessary technology for presentations and able to accommodate both large and small groups. Indoor and outdoor spaces, along with a traditional gastronomic experience paired with the winery's wines.
The winery contains the Medio Millón space, featuring murals that interpret the Solar de Samaniego Beber Entre Líneas (Drink Between the Lines) project, which has become an icon of wine tourism in the region and of Rioja wine.

Medio Millón Space

A distinctive wine tourism resource connected to the tangible architecture and intangible heritage of wine culture. This area embodies the most industrial nature of this winery, featuring seven thirteen-metre high tanks that, in the 1970s, were used to store half a million litres of wine. Magnificent concrete structures built to last, which, thanks to the intervention of the Australian muralist Guido Van Helten, now present an emotional and exciting journey through each step involved in the production of Rioja wines and literary creation. They superbly represent the Beber Entre Líneas project. They offer a journey that pays tribute to the individuals who create history through the various trades involved in wine: from the vineyard to the winemaking process, concluding with wine tasting. Van Helten's work in Solar de Samaniego remains a unique example of recovering heritage through art in disused spaces, providing them with a life of their own.
