Bodegas Araico, S.C.
Araico is a small family winery located in the town of Villabuena, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa. The crafting process we undertake is highly artisanal, involving the manual harvesting of clusters from our vineyards, wine extraction through traditional treading, and, of course, the preservation of the ancient Carbonic Maceration technique.
All our wines fall under the category of Villabuena Wine, as both the vineyard and the winery are exclusively from this locality. Focused on achieving excellence, we produce two of the winery's most special wines – our Singular Vineyards. These are 'El Orgullo de Julián' and 'El Cuartillo de Araico.'
'El Orgullo de Julián' is a wine born of excellence from a small vineyard of over 80 years. It involves a manual destemming process, where the family delicately separates each grape from the stem, fermenting only the grapes to prevent them from breaking or being damaged.
