Bodegas Las Orcas
Bodegas Las Orcas is a small family winery located in the town of Laguardia, Rioja Alavesa.
In 1994, after the marriage of Cristina and Raimundo, they jointly created Bodegas Las Orcas. Lucía (the eldest daughter) belongs to the sixth generation of a family dedicated to vineyards and winemaking and has just joined the family business after finishing her studies in agricultural engineering and oenology.
A balance between tradition and modernity is the balance that Cristina and Raimundo have sought from the beginning, and that with the incorporation of their daughter Lucía will continue to be promoted.
Her philosophy is very clear, to show the essence of their vineyards in the wines, with innovative ideas but always respecting the good work and tradition that characterizes their parents. The Abando San Pedro family currently works with 10 hectares of their own vineyards and 12 controlled hectares, all of them in the town of Laguardia.
In the surroundings of their vineyards they have built a new building for the winery. What the family has wanted is to unify the experience of Raimundo and Cristina, the knowledge and freshness of their daughter Lucía and new technologies, to achieve wines with a unique personality that combine terroir, tradition and modernity.
