Bodegas Gómez de Segura Ibáñez, was founded in 1948 and is located in the El Campillar area in the municipality of Laguardia, the heart of Rioja Alavesa. Surrounded by 50 hectares of goblet-trained vines, which they own, it is one of the wineries with the most tradition in the region.

In the elaboration of its wines, this winery uses in its entirety the exclusive grape variety called Tempranillo and Malvasía with Viura for whites.

Gómez de Segura is a winery with marked family customs that has learned how to combine the proper techniques for the elaboration of its wines. Taking special care when pressing the grapes and using the traditional system of carbonic maceration it has achieved a wine with the intense nuances of colour and the desired aromas.

At the head of this winery is Ana Gómez de Segura, who currently symbolizes the third generation of the family and carries out the hard but rewarding task of producing, processing and marketing their wines with grapes from their own vineyards. According to Ana, the orientation of the vineyards, the clay-like, calcareous soil and the microclimate of the area ensure that the winery´s harvests are year after year a guarantee of quality for its customers.
