Bodegas Amaren

(Basque for "of the mother") is the tribute that Juan Luis Cañas made to his mother Ángeles, a woman who dedicated her life to tending the vineyards and making together with her husband Luis Cañas. And so, with the 1995 vintage, AMAREN was created. Jon Cañas, the heir to a long family lineage dedicated to vineyards and wine, leads the technical side of the winery, embodying in his wines his youthful, perfectionist, non-conformist and transgressive personality. Amaren offers unique experiences where visitors can learn about a winery by tasting different wines while exploring its spaces, philosophy, and personality. On the way, we will visit the grape reception area, special productions, the white wine production area and micro-plots, the concrete tanks, the bottle cellar and the barrel room, not forgetting the 16th century cellar.
