Bodegas Amaren

Bodegas Amaren (meaning in Basque language “from de mother") is a tribute of Juan Luis Cañas (Bodegas Luis Cañas) to his mother, Angeles. Amaren was born with the vintage 1995 being the most exclusive wine of Luis Cañas until in 2009 became independent as a winery but it was not until 2014 when Bodegas Amaren launches its own cellar in the village of Samaniego. Bodegas Amaren seeks perfection in all fields: vineyard, selection and ageing to make wines that enjoy and get excited. Concrete, cement and wood are the three elements that are made the vats, a return to the traditional essence. One of its attractions is to visit their cellar dug to chisel from the S. XVI.
