Eguren Ugarte
Located in Paganos (Laguardia), Eguren Ugarte is a family enterprise that has been involved in the wine business since 1870 and whose wines are sold in over 20 countries.
The views of their own vineyards and a tour of the facilities and underground caves, up to 2 km in length, where their wines mature, make this winery one of the most attractive and original in Rioja Alavesa.
In 2010 the winery opened the Hotel Eguren Ugarte, awarded the Best Of Wine Tourism 2010, in the accommodation category. The wine tasting experience, included in the stay, is based on three flagship wines - Ugarte, Heredad Ugarte Crianza y Dominio de Ugarte Reserva - accompanied with a pintxo. The winery features the Martin Cendoya Restaurant, open from Monday to Sunday, where fine wines are accompanied by the best food prepared with Rioja Alavesa products.
