Our People

Hospitality, conviviality and the warmth of the welcome are the hallmarks and lifestyle of Rioja Alavesa. These features are perceived by visitors when they arrive at any of the establishments on the Rioja Alavesa Wine Route, whether just enjoying the wines made in our towns or strolling around our streets. There are about 12,000 of us spread across 15 municipalities and 24 towns and villages encompassing the length and breadth of a region of just over 300 km2, sharing the common understanding that a friendly welcome must await the visitor.
