The region of Rioja Alavesa boasts an area of 316 km2 and privileged red soils for growing grapes. Its vineyards paint the landscape a lush green shade in spring and reddish, golden in autumn, providing exceptional picture postcards scenes year after year. The modest nature of its size, the short distances between the fifteen municipalities that comprise it and its practical accesses, offer the perfect excuse to tour landscapes , from sunrise to sunset, where wine culture permeates into every corner. The region is bordered to the south by the Ebro River and to the north by the imposing ashen massif of the Sierra de Toloño.
