Built on a slope and boasting a number of splendid buildings festooned with coats of arms, the village still preserves parts of its walls and an ancient stronghold. The 16th century Parish Church of Santa María, is elegant and austere. The interior of the church is decorated with 17th century paintings. At No. 7, Calle Virgen Blanca, you will find the oldest house in Moreda, which dates from the end of the 15th century and has a pointed arch.
The village also boasts magnificent mansions dating from the 17th , 18th and 19th centuries. On the outskirts of the village, you should not miss visiting its historical olive oil press. Moreda still preserves the tradition of the burning of Judas on Resurrection Sunday, with a peculiarity that in this case there are two figures: the "Judas", husband and wife. Some days before, a group of young people prepare the life-size dolls, which are placed on a framework of sticks, and are filled with straw. After mass on Resurrection Sunday, the trial starts in the village square. The tribunal accuses the "Judas" of being responsible for all the misfortunes that have occurred in the village during the year. There is no right of appeal against the verdict: they are burnt at the stake.
